How does AI Reinforce Corporate competitiveness for PE?

It was an insightful sharing by Mr Patrick P. Chen of YCM Industries Co., Ltd., in his capacity as Chairman of the Taiwan Machine Tool and Accessory Builders’ Association 台灣工具機暨零組件工業同業公會(TMBA), during his recent visit from Taiwan to Singapore hosted at Aqua-Terra Solutions Pte Ltd. Patrick shared his personal perspectives on digital transformation and manufacturing competitiveness, building on conversations from SPETA’s Advanced Manufacturing Learning Mission to Taiwan in 2025.

AI is increasingly being integrated into machine tools and manufacturing solutions, driving product innovation, enhancing production efficiency, and supporting more informed decision making.

It is clear that 1) SPETA will work closely with local and international partners like TMBA on key areas such as AI to unlock more value for members, 2) the manufacturing sector continues to explore technology as a key enabler underscoring business performance, and 3) companies could purposefully embed technology integration as a key business strategy for longer term growth. 

As SPETA deepens collaboration with global partners, we remain committed to facilitating meaningful engagements that help our members navigate transformation, build critical capabilities, and position themselves for the next phase of manufacturing excellence.
